July 2023
Update from John Dillon, Regional Director
Thank you for the opportunity to meet with residents affected by our Darwin Green Development at the public meeting on the 29th June.
I am very conscious that a number of questions were raised on the night, and we have received many emails which require a response.
It is my intention to answer as many of those questions as possible and publish them here by close of play on the 14th July. I am also in correspondence with local councillors about a future public meeting.
In addition to the above, other areas discussed at the public meeting were the ditch, flooding that had occurred in relation to this, and the ground levels being raised on the site. I attended site on Tuesday to understand this further. Following a further meeting on Thursday 6th July by members of my team with an ecologist and a groundworker, works will start next week on the ditch. They will then proceed to install the bund, silt traps and land drainage – all as per the approved design by the Local Authority.
In addition to this we have asked them to undertake a grid of levels examining every 5m of the vegetation stripped ground and compare these to the original ground levels to ascertain the level of any filling works that have been completed. If any furthers works are required this will be carried out. I will ensure that progress of these works is made available on this website.
Finally, we are finalising the extended warranty that we are offering to Phase 1 residents which will be available soon – it will require homeowners to accept the warranty but we will make the process as simple as possible.
I trust the above gives some residents comfort that we are listening to concerns raised and acting on them.
If in the meantime you would like to ask further questions please send to info@https://darwingreenconstruction.co.uk.
