Please see below a list of the completed construction works on Darwin Green.
Distribution of top soil storage heap
Where: BDW4
When: Anticipated completion in September 2022
What: As part of the wider development at Darwin Green, top soil is required to be distributed across the site. This is stored at BDW4 and is then transported to the relevant sections of the site as required, in line with approved soil management plan.
Remedial Drainage Works
Where: BDW2
When: Completed in September 2022
What: Work is currently taking place to ensure that the drainage on site is delivered to an adoptable standard. This involves working within the existing roads circa 5m deep. Once this has been completed the road will be reinstated back to base course tarmac.
Street lights installation
Where: Orbital 1 and Orbital 2.1 footpaths
When: Completed in October 2022
What: Further street lights are to be installed on the new Orbital 1 and Orbital 2.1 footpaths throughout October to improve the safety of pedestrians using the footpaths.
Spine Road tarmacking
Where: Road 1, Spine Road
When: Completed in October 2022
What: The spine road has now been fully tarmacked and is ready for construction use.
Speed bumps installation
Where: Between BDW4 and BDW5
When: Completed in October 2022
What: Speed bumps have been installed at the site entrance next to the Gateman’s Hut, which will slow passing traffic, ensuring the safety of pedestrians using the footpaths.
Enabling Works and Pile Mat Formation
Where: BDW2
When: Completed in Summer 2022
What: Following the approval of the reserved matters application for BDW2, work was undertaken to prepare the site for development. This included a CFA piling rig.
